2014 Online Holiday Season

Even though it’s still summer, the holiday season is approaching and many online retailers will begin making decisions surrounding their holiday initiatives very soon. So what can online retailers learn from the holiday season last year and, more importantly, how can they transition this information to improve in 2014? I sat down with our web analytics specialist, Jacob Knettel, to look at some holiday eCommerce figures from last year to help draw conclusions about what to possibly expect for the coming holiday season…

The technology is based on a process called electrowetting, which uses electricity to manipulate a thin layer of liquid so that it changes colour. It uses far less power than a traditional liquid crystal display (LCD) and, crucially, the individual cells change fast enough to run video.

Newspaper editors, grappling with declining circulation and the migration of advertising spending to the internet, have been hoping for years that e-paper will move beyond the drawing board into reality. The dream is for a device allowing readers to upload the newspaper in the morning, then update editorial content and ads as the day goes on, perhaps using a mobile phone or wireless connection.

Liquavista's chief scientific officer Rob Hayes and chief technology officer Johan Feenstra have been working on the technology for almost a decade.

The company plans to announce its first range of products at an electronics fair in Hong Kong this month.

Your Blog For The Holiday Season

The festive season is upon us and your loyal readership is distracted by Christmas and all the associated fun and stress. Usually your blog posts are a welcome relief from the everyday slog that is the working week, but now that the holidays are approaching, your reader’s priorities have changed. People are not looking for a relief from the slog–they are looking for ways to get things done. To compensate for the changes in attitudes over the holiday season, you should change your blog. No matter what your website is about, there is always a way to integrate the festive season into it. You should look for seasonal related tips and advice that you can give related to your blog’s niche. Even if your blog is on the topic of precious metals, you can write posts about how the winter frost may make some metals more brittle, explain how many reindeer a sheet of precious metal can hold. Some blog niches are easier to convert into seasonal themes, such as cookery blogs and decorating blogs.

THE SEASON OF HATS

This season they come in a variety of shapes and colors in the Benetton men’s and women’s autumn-winter collection.
Extremely modern and trendy are those with a larger brim, or the so called “cloche” or classic bowler hats.
There are many ways to wear a hat and many kinds of impressions we can create by wearing a certain model.
You should choose a hat considering the length of your hair or one that goes with the majority of your wardrobe, that reflects your style and makes you feel good.
